Tripartite Memorandum of Understanding signed by and between the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, ADT Project Consulting GmbH on behalf of Indo-German AMD Project, and APEDA to promote exports to the EU markets.

On 2nd of March 2023, a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding was signed by and between the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, ADT Project Consulting GmbH on behalf of Indo-German AMD Project, and APEDA to promote exports to the EU markets from the Farmers Producer Organizations.

The three parties would jointly work toward organising technical dialogue and International webinars, conducting joint export market assessments and studies,  collaborations for region specific capacity building/ training program on the thematic areas of development & implementation of comprehensive training module on “Agri-Export Import Management for FPOs”, standardizing the Package of Practices for Indo-German AMD commodities (within the scope of APEDA) as per EU standards, development of Air/Sea Protocol for Indo-German AMD commodities (within the scope of APEDA) with support of required stakeholders/institutions, support in development of design and technical specifications of supporting infrastructure needed for exports, piloting digital innovations like Traceability/ Certifications with FPOs and collaborations for setting up “Export Facilitation Centre” at state level to facilitate access all information related to exports.

The tripartite Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Dr Vijaya Lakshmi Nadendla, Joint Secretary (Marketing), DA&FW, GoI, Dr U Vats, General Manager, APEDA and Ms Birgit Maier-Stein, Managing Director, ADT Project Consulting GmbH.
