The Indo-German Agricultural Market Development (AMD) Cooperation Project conducted a session on “Improved Production Technologies and Post Harvest Management” for Ginger and Turmeric crops for Odisha state under the newly launched “Spice Mission Program” at the Odisha state. Mr Pratyush Ranjan Singh, Deputy Team Leader and Agribusiness Expert of the AMD project conducted this session at Bhubaneshwar, Odisha. The training Program was inaugurated by Mr Rohit Kumar Lenka (IFS), Director Horticulture, Govt of Odisha. More than 50 officers from the horticulture department of participated in the training Program. Co-Session were undertaken by Dr. S.N. Saxena, Principle Scientist from The ICAR-National Research Centre on Seed Spices, and Dr Subash Chandra Swain, Professor, Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology. The Spice Mission endeavors increase in acreage of spice crops, technological upgradation, inclusion of farmers group and promotion of spice export measures amongst others.
