APEDA and Indo-German Cooperation- AMD project jointly organized a technical discussion on “Export Opportunities for Fresh Fruits and Vegetables to German and European Union Markets,” on December 3, 2024. The technical dialogue as was organized to
1.Provide participants with comprehensive insights into the German and EU markets for fresh fruits and vegetables, including demand trends, competitive landscape, and consumer preferences.
2.Identify effective market entry strategies for Indian exporters to navigate the German and EU markets successfully.
3.Share successful strategies and best practices employed by Indian exporters and international stakeholders in penetrating these markets
Dr. Sapna Arora Narula, Director of the CCS National Institute of Agricultural Marketing, Jaipur made the key remark and shared the importance of the sustainability along the agri-value chains.
During the technical dialogue following participants made presentations:
Dr. Hans-Christoph Behr, European Consultant, Market Analyst, provided an in-depth presentation on the market overview, focusing on insights related to the German and EU markets for fresh fruits and vegetables.
Mr. Pieter Schotel, European consultant, fruit and vegetable, conducted a session on Market Entry Strategies, which included an overview of essential regulations, standards, certification, and compliance requirements for exporters.
Mr. Kalpesh from INI Agrostar in India discussed the challenges that exporters encounter when trying to access EU markets.
Additionally, Mr. Azhar Tambuwala, Director of Sahyadri Farms in India, highlighted the significance of emerging trends at Sahyadri Farms. Also, he shared best practices from the Indian context, showcasing successful strategies and case studies.
The technical dialogue meeting was attended by 59 participant and moderated by Pratyush Ranjan Singh, Agribusiness Expert of the Indo-German AMD project. The technical discussion ended with a vote of thanks.
