On November 8, 2024, the Indo-German Cooperation on Agricultural Market Development (AMD) Project initiated an online training program titled “Agri-Export Management for FPOs.” Mr. Gajjan Singh Verma, Project Officer of the Indo-German AMD Project in Jaipur, extended a warm welcome to the speakers, including Mr. Alok Kumar Srivastava, National Expert in Agri-Export, Mr Pratyush Ranjan Singh, Dy Team Leader, Indo German AMD Project as well as the Board of Directors of various Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Chief Executive Officers, progressive farmers, and other participants from the pilot states of Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. Mr. Verma also provided an overview of the online training program, which saw participation from a total of 79 individuals.
The primary objective of the online training program is to equip training participants with comprehensive knowledge and skills on the various key aspects of international Agri business management, specifically targeting the European Union (EU) markets. The training program will enhance the knowledge on international market management; outlook to identify markets and buyers; Indian and EU trade policies; import regulations and associated incentives; Agri trade logistics & management; emerging foreign trade policies; and tools for enhancing price competitiveness in the global markets.
Mr Alok Kumar Srivastava, resource person of the training program conducted the sessions on Understanding agri-business scope of the FPOs and Mr. Pratyush Ranjan Singh, Deputy Team Leader, AMD project took on How can FPOs undertake agri exports? Process and procedures to be followed by FPOs for undertaking agri-export.
