AMD project organizes Third Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting at Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi

The third Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting of the Indo-German Cooperation on Agricultural Market Development (AMD) project was organized in Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi. This meeting was chaired by Shri Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, IAS, Additional Secretary (Marketing), Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India. Mrs. Johanna Scholz from Division 624 “International Projects, Twinning” of the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) represented from the BMEL. The agenda of the PSC meeting was to review the current implementation status of the project and approve the annual action plan for the project for the extension period. Mr. Pratyush Ranjan Singh, the Deputy Team Leader of the AMD project, updated regarding the project’s activities from December 2023 to July 2024. Mr. Alfons Urlings, the Team Leader of the AMD project, highlighted the activities planned for the extension period of the Indo-German AMD project.

During the PSC meeting, Additional Secretary (Marketing) inaugurated three learning reports that was prepared under the project capturing the experiences of the trial shipments of turmeric, coriander, and mango. A complete guide detailing stepwise activities for Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) planning to strengthen their export value chains was also inaugurated.
