The Indo-German AMD project has successfully enabled the second trial shipment of 19 MT of Coriander, which complies with EU standards. This shipment originated from Ramganjmandi, Rajasthan, and was sent by Sarnagiti Kisan Agro Producer Company. The recipient of this shipment was Asian Spices, a prominent exporter. The Rajasthan State Agricultural Marketing Board, under the Government of Rajasthan, and the Spices Board of India played a crucial role in providing the required support and guidance. Through these efforts, the FPC is showcasing its ability to actively participate in export value chains.
Throughout the previous season, the AMD project initiatives delivered cluster-level training sessions focusing on the current utilization of active substances by farmers, EU-approved active substances, and good agricultural practices to the chosen FPO farmers of Sarnagiti Kisan Agro Producer Company. This was done to enhance the quality of coriander in accordance with EU standards.
The primary objective of this trial shipment program is to enhance the export of agricultural spices, value-added products, and the overall agricultural industry in Rajasthan. This region is widely recognized for its outstanding coriander quality, and the initiative aims to further promote and strengthen this reputation.
