The new Team Leader Alfons Urlings has joined the Indo-German Agricultural Market Development Cooperation Project at Jaipur, Rajasthan. Mr Urlings has More than 26 years of experience in sustainable tropical agriculture (notably cocoa, also oil palm, coffee, vegetables, tropical fruit trees, coconuts, rice, cashew, and peanuts) with smallholder farmers as well as industrial plantations.
Ms. Birgit Maier-Stein, Managing Director, ADT Project Consulting, Germany visited the Indo-German Agricultural Market Development Cooperation Project office at Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. The Deputy Team Leader and Agribusiness Expert of the AMD project, Mr. Pratyush Ranjan Singh, presented a detailed progress update on the project’s implementation status and upcoming action plan activities. Also, the Indo-German AMD team met Dr. Ramesh Mittal, Director, of CCS National Institute of Agricultural Marketing, and discussed project activities and collaborations for future activities.
